Imagine my surprise yesterday to find dozens of buds on a little Meyer Lemon tree I bought in December. The sweetest man at the Regional Farmer's Market brought them up from Apopka, Florida, and sold nearly 250 at the Southern Christmas Show in a matter of days. I got one of the few leftover. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep it alive and thriving, but he was confident that I could with just sunshine and water. So far, so good. I can't begin to say how nice it is to have a tiny bit of Florida (and Italy!) here in the house. My very own miniature citrus grove. I'll keep you posted on our progress.
